Oil change in Woking

Engine oil and filter changed with the right grade for your car, and your service light reset. A quick way to look after your engine between services.

Fresh oil is one of the simplest ways to look after your engine. We drain the old oil, fit a new filter, refill with the grade and specification your engine needs and reset your service light.

Using the wrong oil can cause problems, particularly in newer engines and diesels with particulate filters, so we check the correct specification for your car rather than using whatever is to hand.

When your car needs an oil change

  • The service light or an oil change reminder is showing
  • The oil level warning light or low oil message appears
  • The oil on the dipstick is dark and gritty
  • The engine sounds noisier than usual
  • It has been a year or more since the last oil change
  • You don't know when the oil was last changed

What we do

  • Drain the old engine oil
  • Fit a new oil filter
  • Refill with the correct grade and specification for your car
  • Reset your service light
  • Look for obvious leaks while the car is up

Oil change questions

How often should I change my oil?+

Check your handbook. Typically it is every 6,000 to 12,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first, and some longer-life engines go further.

Is an oil change the same as a service?+

No. An oil change is just the oil and filter. A service includes a much wider set of checks. Our servicing page lists exactly what each service includes.

Can I just top up the oil instead?+

Topping up helps between changes, but it doesn't remove the old, dirty oil or replace the filter. Oil still needs changing at the intervals your manufacturer recommends.
